Summer Storm
Willie was on his way out this afternoon, as I was planning to do some planting in the patio, and he asked me to come look at this cloud in the sky, it was black and threatening. He said, "That's a rain cloud, I'm telling you." Willie had been telling me how humid it felt the past day or so, but for me, if it's over 80, (and the public thermometer I passed on the way home from WinCo read 102 about an hour ago), I am sweating and the world feels just plain damp. He was not gone 5 minutes and this huge burst of thunder cracked across the sky and the rain and hail started coming down in buckets. It's now twenty minutes later and the sun is back out and the yard flooded, the house is dripping. I just finished closing the windows where it was blowing in sideways and cleaning up all the water. Better go make sure the hail didn't knock over any corn.... :)
