Introducing....

Grey Orion Luke

This little angel joined the world March 25, 2010 at 7:11a, weighing in at 8lbs, 14 oz, measuring 22" tall. Got the wedding for my beautiful niece to execute as I digest the merging of this tiny life into mine, and I am swimming in the beauty of love right now. Thank you Dustin and Francis for allowing me the pleasure of sharing this tender time with you, I cannot yet express how much it meant to me attending the birth of your family, but I know I will continue to enjoy witnessing the evolution of your family. I am loving you all with every breath.

So much more to come on this subject...have an amazing day.

More Martha Worth Repeating

That Martha Beck...

...I just love her!

A Few things...

...I've been meaning to post.

This is the bag of fabric I bought downtown with Mom.

And now the guest room is quickly filling up with wedding stuff.
Willie takes pictures all the time and I find them later when I download my own shots. I found this shot of the side of the house. I have never taken pictures on that side, who knows why. That's the office,(dining room), and kitchen windows.

I found that photo after I came back from LA, and decided to take the snow view since this was what the world looked like after I had just walked on the beach the day before...with no jacket.

The icicles were amazing.

One day, I am going to print all the pictures I have taken of the neighbor's yard and put them in their mailbox, do you think that might freak them out.

This was the snowman at the end of the block
The one across the street was gone in a couple of days. The temps were high in the daytime and this snow was gone completely by the end of the week.

Can't wait to document the spring growth this year.

Hope you have a wonderful day.

Morning Tea

It's a beautiful morning, the sun is shining and the tea is brewing. I am spending some time this morning working on the plans for Jenn's wedding and the shopping that I will need to do this weekend. It's coming up fast and I want to be prepared -- I am prepared as long as I stick to my own schedule. I am hoping everyone is having as lovely a morning as I am.

Growing Things

As spring approaches, I looked around the house at the plants, bathed them all and added enriched dirt,(potting soil, egg shells and fruit rinds), readying everything for the warm weather. Thought I would take some photos to preserve the moment.

The big ficus loves that spot.
This is the original Christmas cactus and the plant David and Betsy got me when I got here last year. I don't remember the name, but I think it is some sort of lily.
Maryke and Jeremy left these two at the house, and they are doing very well.

The little trees love the morning sun in this window.
Bill gave me a seed catalog, and I am on fire to plant the garden outside. Things were not nearly as expensive as I had guessed, and I am excited. I made a drawing of the yard and went over it with Bill, just to be sure he didn't feel like I was taking over, even though I am, hehehe.
The blog will no doubt be dominated with the boring progress of my vegetables and flowers, and I am thrilled. Gonna do some yard clean up today, so look for the before pictures very soon. Have a great day!
